UNDERSTANDING THE HISTORY & SCIENCE BEHIND ALL-NATURAL CBD OIL

All-natural CBD oil and related products are available throughout the US at an array of locations, and their popularity is growing as mainstream brands add cannabinoids to their products. Stores and brands are advertising the plant compoundโ€™s various uses, and consumers are flocking to buy the natural wellness items. Additionally, the list of bene๏ฌts is rising as fast as the number of hemp-infused products. Itโ€™s understandable all the hype makes you skeptical about the bene๏ฌts of our Innovative CBDโ€™s professional-grade products. Itโ€™s essential to understand that hemp extracts and uses may seem new, but the plant is one of the oldest in cultivation, and people have been using the ancient plant for thousands of years. Below is the history of the potent plant and an overview of the vital compounds along with CBD that complement the cannabinoidโ€™s wellness benefits.

THE HISTORY OF HEMP AND CBD OIL

Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. Its ๏ฌrst known use was as an agricultural crop in Asia over 10,000 years ago to condition the soil for other vegetation to grow with its high nutrient level. The plant quickly became a staple. Historical records show civilizations using it for ๏ฌber to make clothing and other textiles.

The ๏ฌrst mention of its use in written documents is in the Pen-tsโ€™ao ching, the worldโ€™s oldest pharmacopoeia, an o๏ฌƒcial medicinal drug publication. This ancient text suggests that people in Asian culture regularly use plants as a natural wellness remedy.

Oral history reports that Hua Tโ€™o, the founder of Chinese surgery, utilized hemp compounds with wine to make the ๏ฌrst known tinctures. He used them during procedures. The references show the Chinese used the ๏ฌ‚owers, seeds, leaves, and roots to mix various folk remedies for everything from aches and pains to sleep aids.

Hemp cultivation has spread throughout the world over the past 10,000 years. Historical records indicate that the plant was referenced in the Middle East, India, and Greece around 200 BCE.

However, we also know that hemp was a required crop in the New World when the British came to America. The plant made its way to the UK by 1500. King Henry VIII ๏ฌrst instituted the laws for growing hemp in 1535. The royal proclamation threatened ๏ฌnes to landowners who didnโ€™t cultivate the valuable crop.

Hempโ€™s popularity would spread throughout North America in the 1600s and continue to be a staple crop in the colonies and the US until cannabis propaganda vili๏ฌed the extremely bene๏ฌcial plant. Although the two plants share many of the same compounds, hemp doesnโ€™t produce the high associated with cannabis.

Despite available research, hysteria won, and the U.S. banned hemp cultivation, sales, and use in 1937. Following Americaโ€™s lead, the remaining countries around the world would also ban most hemp production.

THANK YOU, DR. RAPHAEL MECHOULAM

It would take 81 years to change the course of hemp in America and throughout the world. We owe a great deal of appreciation to Dr. Raphael Mechoulam. Many consider him the father of modern cannabis research. Because of Mechoulam, we have all-natural CBD oil for daily wellness.

DR. RAPHAEL MECHOULAM

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, was the ๏ฌrst compound isolated from the hemp plant. A Harvard chemist, Roger Adams, extracted CBD in 1940. Over two decades later, Dr. Mechoulam used Adamsโ€™ work to break down the compoundโ€™s structure in 1963. The Israeli researcher verified CBD before THC, which wasnโ€™t identi๏ฌed until 1964. The professor and top cannabinoid scientist and pioneer who died in 2023 was the foremost expert in CBD, THC, and the endocannabinoid system, working in the field until his death.

NATURALLY OCCURRING HEMP COMPOUNDS FOUND IN CBD OIL

The plant contains more than cannabinoids, CBD, and THC. It has over 545 compounds, including 140 phytochemicals that are cannabinoids with similar characteristics to CBD. The remaining compounds include terpenes, which produce the di๏ฌ€erent plant fragrances, ๏ฌ‚avonoids that give hemp unique tastes, and a blend of minerals and other essential phytochemicals. The complex group of plant chemicals works together to produce a variety of wellness responses.

Nevertheless, scientists are still studying all the plantโ€™s compounds to learn more about their interactions with the body and their di๏ฌ€erent advantages. The majority of the compounds are cannabinoids like CBD and THC.

THESE BREAKDOWN INTO TWO PRIMARY CATEGORIES:

1. Cannabinoid Acids

The ๏ฌnal CBD oil or infused product you purchase doesnโ€™t start its life cycle as a cannabinoid. Instead, they begin as simple acidsโ€”all cannabinoids in hemp form from cannabigerolic acid or CBGa. Scientists often call CBGa the mother of all cannabinoids because of where it is in the pecking order.

CBGa is the ๏ฌrst to form. It changes to either THCa, CBCa, or CBDa. Without CBGa, there wouldnโ€™t be CBDa or CBD. Each phytocannabinoid has a precursor or a di๏ฌ€erent chemical composition before going through the decarboxylation process.

While not an exhaustive list, here are some of the known cannabinoid acids:

  • Cannabidiolic acid (CBDa)
  • Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid A (THCa)
  • Cannabigerolic acid (CBGa)
  • Cannabichromenic acid (CBCa)
  • Cannabinolic acid (CBNa)
  • Cannabigerovarinic acid (CBGVa)

2. Decarboxylated Cannabinoids

These are the compounds most consumers know. CBD and THC are decarboxylated. Decarboxylation is a long phase, which means youโ€™re heating the cannabinoids to activate them. Both compounds have bene๏ฌts as an acid and after the heating process. But there is one signi๏ฌcant di๏ฌ€erence between THCa and THCโ€”the acidic form is NOT psychoactive.

Again, this isnโ€™t everything. But here are a few of the identi๏ฌed cannabinoids following decarboxylated cannabinoids and what you find in your full-spectrum CBD oil:

  • Cannabidiol (CBD) (The primary component in all-natural CBD oil)
  • Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
  • Cannabigerol (CBG)
  • Cannabichromene (CBC)
  • Cannabinol(CBN)
  • Cannabigerovarin(CBGV)

THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM

Youโ€™re not alone if you havenโ€™t heard of the endocannabinoid system, which you may hear all-natural CBD oil brands and leading experts abbreviate to ECS. The internal network in the human body was only veri๏ฌed in the early 1990s. In 1988, scientists discovered the ๏ฌrst cannabinoid receptor (CB1). Yet, this breakthrough allowed researchers to con๏ฌrm the ๏ฌrst known endocannabinoid, anandamide, in 1992.

As of today, scientists have learned a great deal more about the ECS, including why the advantages of cannabinoids are so widespread. The cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, are found throughout the body, which allows it to work with all the bodyโ€™s primary functions, including,

  • Cognition
  • Mood
  • Memory
  • Appetite
  • Sensory responses

These interactions help people understand more about the ECS, CBD, CBDa, and its wellness properties.

BENEFITS OF INNOVATIVE CBD OIL WITH CBDA

Innovative CBD o๏ฌ€ers a unique formula that blends CBD with CBDa. This blend allows customers to get the best non-decarboxylated and decarboxylated CBD in one product. Using a slower but e๏ฌ€ective, small-batch solventless extraction method, we can do this in a single process.

All-natural CBD oil with CBDa is a true full-spectrum formula. The rich blend of cannabinoids and other naturally occurring compounds has minimal THC and wonโ€™t produce a high. Instead, customers experience the calming e๏ฌ€ect of hemp.

CBD and CBDa work by interacting with the endocannabinoid system. As discussed above, the ECS is a complex cell-signaling system found in all mammals, so products are available for cats, dogs, and horses. The system consists of endocannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors, and enzymes, and itโ€™s responsible for maintaining symmetry in the body.

CBD and CBDa are phytocannabinoids that mimic the actions of endocannabinoids in the body. They can activate the cannabinoid receptors unique to the hemp plant.

Hemp is a unique, versatile plant that o๏ฌ€ers many natural advantages.

Improve your well-being today by adding our professional-grade Innovative CBD oil with CBDa to your wellness routine!
